Peninsula Specialist School
We had a lot of fun when Peninsula Specialist school came to The Summit for a three day camp. We first eased into camp with some fun problem solving initiatives where everyone got to know there new tribes for the week. We had Team thunder, The Peacocks and The Maniacs. We then started our first three activities, there were: Cave, Laser Skirmish and Snake and Nails. Everyone did really well at the Cave, it wasn’t easy navigating their way through the cave but everyone gave it a ago and managed to find there team at the end.
At Laser everyone really enjoyed running around trying to shoot as many people as they could and of course trying to get the most kills. Some people were a bit hesitant to walk on the nail board and to meet our snakes, however with the support of their group, everyone gave the nail board a go and got a little bit more comfortable around the snake.
Day two and we had more activities to conquer and in the afternoon take on an epic monster course. Our new activities were Giant Swing, Flying Fox and Inflatables. With some height now added to the activities it was awesome to see so many team members stretching outside their comfort zone.
Inflatable City was a nice break from the height activities, and everyone loved playing some games and having heaps of fun. In the afternoon we all enjoyed running the monster course. Again it was amazing to see the amount of team work between the groups and the amount of effort you all made to complete the course. It was a great feeling getting to the finish line, knowing that everyone had given there all during the course.
We also got to celebrate with a fun water fight in the lake. On the last day, after we finished off our last activity we all came together to acknowledge some outstanding efforts from some people whilst on camp. These lucky legends got to have a ride in our army tank!! Well done to Ruby, Tom and Bella.
Thank you again to Peninsula Specialist school for coming and having lots of fun with us coaches. We loved having you here and were very impressed with all your hard work.
