Gisborne Secondary Collage
On a wet Wednesday 29th May, Gisborne Secondary Collage came to The Summit. As the coaches and I welcomed the students in the lodge we were eager to get into activities, although the weather wasn’t ideal, the groups completed a group game (50 up), and initiative and 2 activity rotations with good attitudes and gave it their best. During the initiatives the tribes locked in their names; Vitamin C, Soggy Shoes, Mighty Dads, Shmucks and Gisborne’s Finest.
Day 2 of the camp kicked off with a session on setting intentions for the day on who they want to be for the day, with that in their minds the groups smashed out 4 massive rotations which consisted of high ropes activities (Leap of Faith, Summit Window, Rock Wall and Flying Fox) we had team activities (Scavenger Hunt, Bush Challenge, Orienteering) and the epic Monster Course where they had to dig deep and do it twice.
