Narre Warren South P-12

From the 26th to the 28th June The Summit had the pleasure of welcoming Narre Warren South P-12 years. As the welcome begun, the students got introduced to The Summit team; Maddi, Paula and team leader Steph.

Five keys (have fun, play all in, make lots of mistakes, get comfortable being uncomfortable, don’t go home wondering what if) were introduced and then the activities started. The first lot of activities were (Cave, Snowy River challenge and Tash’s Ladder), by the end of the day the 3 tribes had gotten their names: Wombats, Forever Last and Rice Crispy’s.

Day two was a BIG day with heaps of rotations and a Monster Course to finish the day, which the ran TWICE! Throughout the day the spirits were high, and the sun was shining bright, many fears were faces and some even contoured, activities before lunch were: Abseil, Rockwall and Inflatables. After lunch we did one rotation (giant swing, snake and nails and high wire), followed closely by the epic monster course to wrap up the day.

Day three and it’s the final day of camp, the students where reminded that they had 2 more activates to do, to not “check out” just yet… once the two rotations were completed the students had some time to reflect upon the week by doing a debriefing method called “rock, stick and leaf”.
