Islamic Collage of Melbourne – Girls Camp
On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, The Summit had the pleasure of welcoming back the Islamic Collage of Melbourne, the school brought girls and boys in two separate camps. Team leading the 51 girls were so much fun and they took every opportunity we threw at them.
Day one was easy, the girls had to have two activity rotations and this of their tribe names, which were; D.M.S, T.B.B, The Savages and The Rats. The day included activities like Leap of Faith, Flying Fox, Bush Challenge and Tash’s Ladder, where we gave the girls the opportunity to challenge themselves and step out of their comfort zones.
Day two was a BIG day; full of 4 activity rotations, where we threw in Abseil, Giant Swing, Scavenger Hunt and Snake and Nails to continuously keep these girls on their toes. We ended the day with our EPIC Monster Course where we didn’t just do one lap, but TWO laps. The team who one was the team with the biggest improvement time.
Last day of camp and the day started with gratitude and focus on the two last rotations, as we challenged the girls not to ‘check out’ early and to play all in so they weren’t going to go home wondering ‘WHAT IF’. The girls gave everything they had into the last two rotations and were buzzing with energy, they were told to choose one person in their team who represented the five keys the best, they were; Ikhlas, Maryam, Fatima. H and Shyra. Well done ladies! They got a hot lap in our WWII army tank as a reward.
