Benton Junior College
What a fabulous week has it been with the students, teachers and parents-helpers from Benton Junior College. With the sea of orange hats flooding The Summit Camp it was time to get into the swing of things. First thing to do was to break off into our tribes and do a few initiatives and come up with a tribe name. Spicy Pineapple Survivors, Linguini Penguinies, Deadly 13, Spit Fire Nuggets, Save the Turtles, Mighty Pegs, Summit Supers and the Lucky Duckies were the tribe names.
Throughout camp there were so many great results and individual efforts from so many people. This was definitely highlighted in the amount of GMIC received and read out. Here are some of the tribe results and time from activities throughout the week.
Snowy River challenge had deadly 13 complete the course in 36.46, Save the turtles in 28.01, The Mighty pegs in 25.58, Summit Supers in 24.01, Spicy Pineapples Survivors in 21.17, Lucky Duckies in 20.04, Spit Fire Nuggets in 17.07 and winning was Linguini Penguinies in 17.04.
Monster Course was amazing with the effort from every single tribe. The results were as follows: Spit fire Nuggets improving by 4.10, The mighty Pegs improving by 4.24, Linguini Penguinies improving by 6.43, Lucky Duckies improving by 7.33,SummitSupers improving by 9.58, Deadly 13 improving by 10.46, Spicy Pineapple Survivors improving by 10.55 and winning the monster course was Save the Turtles who improved by 11.05.
At the end of the camp each tribe member voted for someone in their tribe who lived by the five keys the most throughout the camp (Have Fun, Play All in, Make Lots of Mistakes, Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable, and Don’t Go Home Wondering What If). These individuals were rewarded with a ride in The Summit WWII army tank. Congratulations to Zoe, Noah, Emma, Dean, Cooper H, Ethan, Lana and Allegra.
Thank you, Benton Junior College, for visiting The Summit. We look forward to seeing you at here in the near future.
