Thomas Mitchell Grade 6 Camp 2019

As the busses rolled in on Monday afternoon we welcomed Thomas Mitchell Primary School. After a long journey to The Summit the grade 6’s were very keen to hop off the buses and hit the park. No time was wasted in the first rotation after group numbers quickly turned into awesome tribe names.

Group 1 became The Savages, followed by group #2 Jiggling Eshay’s,

# 3 No Doubting Worriers, #4 KFC #5 Alphas and lucky last Group #6 Punjabi Powers. What a great selection of names!!!!

The afternoon was filled with loads of fun and laughs, 2 rotations were completed. It was a great taster for what was to come for day two. Dinner was a winner, winner - chicken schnitzel dinner 😊

Tuesday was a jammed packed day for Thomas Mitchell grade 6’s. Five rotations were completed (Giant Swing, Leap of Faith, Cave, Laser Skirmish, Orienteering and Snake and Nails) along with our Epic Monster Course. The kids loved the mud along with our cargo net to cool them down after a scorching hot day. Hats and sunscreen were essential. After a very long but fun day, I am sure, the grade 6’s where very happy to have a relaxing movie night in bring the night to a close.

Wednesday morning rolled around quickly. To kick it off the grade 6’s shared a few things they where grateful for in their day to day lives - sometimes it is the little things that go unnoticed, how cool is It that we get to be grateful as one big team. GMIC’S (Great Moment In Camp) were out of this world, so many were put in the box! It was amazing to see. Thomas Mitchell Year 6’s, YOU ALL ROCK! The Summit crew wishes you all the very best for the rest of your final year of Primary School. Great job playing all in over the past few days.

After two and a half days of unleashing greatness, the end of camp was finished by each tribe voting for a values winner who demonstrated the five values to the best of their abilities.
