Mount Eliza Secondary College Camp 2019
As the busses rolled in on Wednesday afternoon, we welcomed Mount Eliza Secondary College. After a long gurney to The Summit the Year Elevens Students were very keen to hop off the buses and hit the park. No time was wasted in the first rotation.
Group numbers quickly turned into awesome tribe names:
What a great selection of names!
The afternoon was filled with loads of fun and laughs and 2 rotations were completed. It was a great taster for what was to come for day two. The Jason’s tribe wasted no time, as they set the bar high for Leap Of Faith, being the first activity! Many of the students hit their Target and Stretch. Well Done!! As the day came to a close, the year 11’s had a bit of down time - swimming and canoeing were essential to help handle sudden heat. After Dinner the year 11’s broke into tribe groups and played a few rounds of Minuet To Win It.
Temperature wise Thursday was a scorcher. A lot of WATER was consumed along with lots of slip, slop, and slap of the sunscreen. There were plenty of cool hats making appearances around the park. After playing a game of Huckle Buckle the year 11’s were ready to hit the park in style. Three rotations, a massive group game and our EPIC Monster Course were awaiting the groups that day. In the afternoon we all played a big game of Giants, Wizards and Dwarfs in the lake to help cool ourselves down. After that we had some wrestling matches – winning the contest we had Percy and also an impressive shout out to Amy, who defeated Jess, not one foot was lifted of the mat, as she took down her poor contestant, Well done!
Friday Morning rolled around quickly. To kick it off the year 11’s shared a few things they where grateful for in their day to day lives - often little things go unnoticed – so , it was great that we get to be grateful for all things, big and little, as one big team. GMIC’S were out of this world, so many were put in the box. It was amazing to see! Mount Eliza Secondary College, YOU ALL ROCK! The Summit crew wish you all the very best for the rest of year 11 and challenge you to make your final year of High School one to remember. Don’t forget, its okay to make mistakes. Embrace them throughout this next chapter in your lives. Great job playing all in over the past few days.
After two and a half days of unleashing greatness, the camp was finished by each tribe voting for their values winner who demonstrated the five values to the best of their abilities.
