Aquinas College Camp 3 Blog 2024

Having the third camp from Aquinas College at The Summit for the year 8 camp has been a pleasure. The teachers, student leaders, and students were all excited to be at the camp. After introductions and information were shared, it was straight out into the glorious weather for some initiatives and the first two rotations of activities. Each tribe by the end of their first activities came up with a tribe name. John Porks, Non-Chalants, Steves, Tom Hoopers, Big Dogs, Just Orangutans, Purple Aura, and Purpleroni Pizza were the names of the tribes.

From the first activity, there were so many brilliant displays of playing all in and getting outside your comfort zone. It was great to see the cohesiveness come together to set the tone for your camp.

At the end of camp, each tribe voted for a member of their tribe who displayed the Five Keys (Have Fun,

Play All In, Make Lots of Mistakes, Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable, Don't Go Home Wondering ‘What if.’) of camp. These individuals were acknowledged in front of their peers. Congratulations to Claire, Sam, Miller, Senuka, Tom Hooper, James, Jude, Naomi, Zach and Tyler. Well done to you all.
