Mooroolbark College Year 8 Camp Blog

It has been a delight having the students and teachers from Mooroolbark College at The Summit for their 3-day camp. After the donuts and quiet approach to the introduction, everyone livened up when we got out into the park. Each tribe came up with a tribe name.

Welcome to No Direction,  38 Barkers, Door Hinges, George, Tango, and Unland MC. First rotation and then it was time to create a flag for their tribes.

There was some serious funny business going on with the teachers and Summit staff with Geckos, Tsunami, and Andy Coming and weird actions happening everywhere. Clothes pegs were being given out, a crazy finish to the year. All The Summit staff had so much fun getting to know all the students and teachers and creating great memories for you all.

Bush Challenge:

George = 23.31

38 Barkers = 22.33

Unland MC = 22.21

Door Hinges = 19.15

Tango = 17.22

No Direction = 14.14 >> WINNER!!!

Monster Course Improvement Time:

38 Barkers = 8.16

No Direction = 10.11

Tango = 10.33

George = 12.24

Unland MC = 13.04

Door Hinge = 13.37 >> WINNER!!!

Well done everyone for your effort on the courses.

At the end of camp, each tribe voted for a member who had lived by the Summit Five Keys (Have Fun, Play All In, Make Mistakes, Get Comfortable being Uncomfortable, and Don’t Go Home Wondering What If). These people were acknowledged in front of peers and gifted with a reward of a hot lap in The Summit WW2 army tank.

Well done to Cyrus, Sienna, Pepper, Brodie, Owen, and Hayden.
