Northcote HS Year 8 Camp1 Blog

What a way to start term 4. The year eights and their teachers from Northcote H.S. arrived at the Summit for their 3-day camp. There was so much energy and excitement at the start of camp that there was only time for some safety guidelines before we headed out into the park. Each tribe after their initiative came up with a tribe name. No longer were they group one, two, etc but The Dentures, Oh Pig, Fluffy Unicorns, Spiderman, Team, Krispy Cream and Slippery Goats. Each tribe completed 7 rotations of activities, some being individual achievements and some being a tribe effort.

Here are the full results of the tribe challenges completed over camp.

Snowy River Challenge Time: Slippery Goats =44.25

The Dentures = 43.44

Spiderman = 41.42

Oh Pig = 41.29

TEAM = 34.30

Fluffy Unicorns = 33.39

Krispy Cream = 29.10 WINNER!!!

Monster Course Improvement Time:

TEAM = 11.05,

Krispy Creams = 11.10

The Dentures = 12.10

Oh Pig improved by 12.50

Fluffy Unicorns = 17.00

Slippery Goats = 18.50

Spiderman = 22.56 WINNER!!!

An amazing effort to get the times you did. Be proud of yourselves.

At the end of camp, each tribe voted for a member who lived by The Summit's Five Keys. These individuals were given the opportunity to go for a lap in The Summit's WW2 army tank.

Congratulations to Atticus, Poppy, Maya, Luca, Joseph, Gabe, and Queenie. All did so well throughout camp.

Thank you again to all who came to camp one of the Northcote HS year 8 camp. We look forward to seeing you back at the Summit in the near future.

My child tells me he is 'never sleeping without his teddy again' after an experience this horrendous. The staff supposedly allowed massive goats to roam freely, with no barriers between the children and the dangerous creatures. The counselors hosted a "Snake Experience" without any proper training. My child came back with rabies from a python bite. This was beyond unacceptable. One student apparently brought a machete and was terrorizing cabins during the night. Our family will not be partaking in events like this again. Thanks, Todd.

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone's else's child got frostbite from the after math of the monster run. this could have contributed to my child's cancer. That's all, Sharon.

WAIT WHATTTT?!??!?!?!?!?!? Sorry Sharon, I was just trying out that new gen-z language my little boy has been trying to teach me to rizz up a new man after my second divorce. I'm so sorry to hear about your child's cancer, but mine does too. It's good that they are cancer buddies to look after each other. Love, Jemima from Kathie's account because I couldn't log in!

I'm so happy to see my little boy back home. I've missed him so much and was so happy to give him his pr packages when he got back, as he is a very experienced twitch streamer. Thank you so so much camp staff for looking after my baby boy. I love him so much and Sharon could you please set up a date for my boy next week. Love, Jemima!

So sorry Jemima, unfortunately I can't set up a date for your lovely kid. My daughter's a bit grumpy😠 right now - you know how teenagers get😂. She says your son is annoying and ugly and so I don't think I'll be able to force her into this date😔.

Sorry for any inconvenience! Love, Sharon
