The Summit has accommodation and activities designed to meet the needs of our guests who have physical and or intellectual disabilities. Depending on the disability we will recommend the best options available to you. Please free to contact our office so we can customise a stay or an adventure that delivers you an awesome experience.
Our amazing team requires a variety of training and qualifications depending on the departments they work in. All staff have a Working with Children’s Checks and Victoria Police Check. Our Facilitating team also has a Certificate II in First Aid and have completed our extensive training program, online testing and mandatory logged hours of practical activity experience.

The Summit is an accredited organisation with the National Accommodation Recreation Tourism Accreditation (NARTA) and is also a member of the Australian Camps Association. We carry all the appropriate insurances which can be viewed on our website Resource Page – click here.
A Summit staff member will be in touch with you approximately 48 hours prior to your arrival with the details. After hours check-ins can also be arranged.
Accommodation Questions
Our log cabins are nestled into the hillside landscape and all have bathroom facilities, heating and cooling. Some cabins have private rooms and self-contained kitchens.
Our bungalows are designed with many of the comforts you will find in our cabins. Our permanent bungalows are constructed with their own timber decking and include bunks, lighting, heating, and power. Bungalow Village also has its own common room, The Blue Room, with a projector, sound system, and commercial kitchen facilities. There are two amenities blocks with 16 showers and 12 toilets. Bungalow Village can be accompanied by four permanent tents, sleeping 8 people each. These can be used as overflow accommodation or booked individually.
Yes, heating is available during the colder months only, April – October. We also provide an extra blanket per guest.
8 people; there are four sets of bunk beds in each bungalow. There are also 2 designated Teacher/Leaders bungalows which sleep 5 people in 3 single beds and 1 set of single bunk beds.
No, we do not have campsites available. Guests are only permitted to stay within our designated accommodation.
Cutlery, plates, cups, bowls, cooking utensils, pots, pans, saucepans, frypans, oven, toaster, microwave, and fridge. The Bungalow Village Commercial kitchen has additional fridges, freezers, a Baine Marie, a combi oven, and an industrial dishwasher. There is kitchen inventory list available in the resources page on our website.
Yes, either a doona, sheets and pillow OR sleeping bag and pillow…and a towel.
Facilities & Connections
You are welcome to bring alcohol but we are not licenced to supply it. We ask that you consume alcohol responsibility. Alcohol is NOT to be consumed prior to participating in ANY activities.
Yes we have several undercover BBQ areas which are available for guests to use FREE of charge. Simply ask our staff to allocate one for your groups private use. Please BYO food, utensils and cleaning equipment.
No we don’t.
All facilities and cabin accommodations have heating and evaporative cooling. Our tents have a heater for the cooler months. All common facilities, dining areas, and conference rooms also have heating and cooling (with the exceptions of the 3 large blue marquees).
There is no pool available at The Summit camp. There is a private pool at our luxury accommodation, The Doughty House that is available for guests use during their Doughty House stay.
The lake is only available for groups to use if they can provide a suitably qualified lifeguard, at a ratio of 1 lifeguard to every 10 participants, and have completed our Water Use Contract. Please get in touch with our office team, prior to your arrival, to confirm if your qualifications meet the requirements.
No, our activities need to be pre-booked and require Summit team members to facilitate them. You are welcome to play your games in our open spaces or enjoy our complimentary activities including walking tracks, volleyball, basketball, playground, and table tennis.
No, we do not have Wifi available for guest use.
Yes. Some areas may be unreliable for Zoom calls and streaming though.
