136 Year 5 & 6 students from Arnolds Creek Primary School arrived at The Summit just after midday on Wednesday, bags in hand and ready to go. Over three packed days, nine teams took on an enormous range of activities, backed each other through the tough moments, and left camp knowing exactly what they're capable of.
After settling in and enjoying a self-catered lunch, it was straight into introductions, harness briefings and the first rotations. All nine teams hit the activities simultaneously, taking on:
- Rock Wall
- Flying Fox
- Bag Blitz
- Laser Skirmish
- Giant Swing
- Inflatable City
- High Wire
- Bush Challenge
- Tash's Ladder
By dinner, the GMICs were already flowing, with students calling out teammates who had backed them on the High Wire, cheered them up on the Rock Wall and helped make camp what it was.
The Arnolds Creek teaching team then took over the evening activity, keeping the energy high right through to Lights Out.
Day Two – Intentions, Gratitude & Monster Energy
Day Two kicked off with Morning Intentions and Gratitude, giving students a chance to pause, reflect and think about how they wanted to show up for themselves and their teammates.
Then it was straight back into action.
With a full day of six activity rotations, every team worked their way through the full suite of challenges, putting the Five Keys into practice at every turn.
And then, after afternoon tea and a change of clothes, came the moment everyone had been waiting for…
