On Wednesday, 16th September 2026, the Year 4–6 students and teachers from Bayside P-12 College arrived at The Summit, ready for three action-packed days of adventure, teamwork, challenge and plenty of personal growth!
Coaches Cal, Will and Stevie welcomed the group and introduced a program designed to challenge everyone, both physically and mentally.
The Five Keys
Like every Summit camp, the three days were built around The Summit’s Five Keys.
- Have Fun
- Play All In
- Make Lots of Mistakes
- Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable
- Don’t Go Home Wondering “What If”
Day One – Activities & Tribe Names
The students jumped straight into the action on Day One, taking on Tash’s Ladder, the Snowy River Challenge and Laser Skirmish.
Across the three days, the tribes took on:
- Tash’s Ladder
- Snowy River Challenge
- Laser Skirmish
- Bag Blitz
- High Wire
- Scavenger Hunt
Alongside the physical challenges, each group built its tribe identity, designing its own team flag and creating a real sense of belonging. It got everyone working together, thinking creatively and building the teamwork and communication that would carry them through the rest of camp.
The tribes:
- Lucky Charms
- Potato Joey’s
- Team of Winners
Day Two – Intentions & The Monster Course
Day Two opened with Morning Intentions, giving students the chance to think about what they wanted to achieve that day and how they wanted to approach the challenges ahead.
A game of Jockeys got everyone moving before the tribes headed back into their rotations, taking on Bag Blitz, High Wire and the Scavenger Hunt, each with its own set of challenges to crack together.
Then it was time for one of The Summit’s biggest challenges…
The Monster Course
After warming up with a game of Get Loose, the students hit the legendary Monster Course!
With plenty of mud, laughter and tough obstacles, every tribe threw everything they had into their first lap.
Once everyone was through, the group came together to talk about resilience, and what it means to keep going when something gets hard.
Then the coaches revealed the twist: the winning team isn’t the fastest, it’s the team that improves the most on their second run!
Every tribe headed back out for Lap Two, backing their teammates the whole way. It was fantastic to see the groups put what they had talked about into action and take on the course with a whole new mindset.
Final Day – Gratitude & Celebration
The final day began with a session on gratitude, encouraging students to pause and recognise the people, experiences and opportunities that had made their camp.
A game of Huckle Buckle warmed everyone up before the final activity rotations, as the group made the most of their last day at The Summit.
Across the three days, the Bayside students embraced new challenges, worked together, got very muddy and made plenty of memories along the way. Camp is about much more than completing an activity. It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone, backing the people around you and discovering what you’re capable of when you give it a go.
🏅 Values Winners
- Lucky Charms – Santiago
- Potato Joey’s – Reuben

These students were recognised for the courage, teamwork and positive attitude that make the Five Keys come alive at camp.
