Chairo Christian School

From the 6th–8th of May, the students and teachers from Chairo Christian School arrived at The Summit Adventure Park ready for an unforgettable few days of challenge, growth, laughter, and teamwork. Guided by Coach Cal, the group embraced every opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and play all in from the very beginning.

To kick off camp, students were introduced to The Summit’s Five Keys — the mindset that helps create the best camp experience possible:

The Five Keys

Students were also introduced to our Target, Stretch, and Super Stretch goal-setting strategy, encouraging everyone to challenge themselves throughout every activity and celebrate progress along the way.

Day One – Teamwork, Mud & Flying High

The adventure began with a fun and energetic game of “Where’s George?” before students launched straight into the Bush Challenge. This muddy team obstacle course pushed students to work together as they climbed over walls, escaped foam pits, balanced across wobbly wires, completed memory tasks, and solved puzzles under pressure.

The teamwork on display was incredible, with the group completing the course in an impressive 27 minutes and 5 seconds!

After conquering the mud, students took to the skies on the Flying Fox, embracing the thrill of soaring through the trees and encouraging one another every step of the way.

Day Two – Intentions, Resilience & Monster Effort

Day Two began with a powerful discussion around intention and how to make the most of every moment at camp. Students reflected on how they wanted to show up for themselves and their team before bringing the energy with a game of “Get Loose.”

The morning was packed with action as students tackled Laser Skirmish just before the rain rolled in, followed by Rock Wall and Bag Blitz rotations. Despite the changing weather, the group continued to bring positivity, courage, and determination to every activity.

The Monster Course

In the afternoon, students faced one of The Summit’s most iconic challenges — the Giant Swing — before heading into the legendary Mud Run.

Their first lap clocked in at 24 minutes and 29 seconds, but the real magic happened when the students chose to push themselves even further. Rather than stopping after one lap, the group dug deep, worked together, and tackled the course a second time to build resilience and teamwork.

And the result?

💪 An incredible improvement time, with the second run completed in just 13 minutes and 51 seconds!

The determination, encouragement, and persistence shown throughout the challenge was a fantastic example of growth mindset in action.

Final Day – Reflection & Gratitude

As camp began to wind down, students took time to reflect on what they were grateful for and everything they had achieved over the past few days. The final adventures included exploring the Cave and taking in the breathtaking views from the Summit Window — the perfect way to finish an unforgettable experience.

To wrap up camp, students voted for peers who had truly embodied the spirit of The Summit:

🏅 Hero of the Group: Evan
💚 Heart of the Team: Isaac S

Isaac was recognised for the care, encouragement, and positivity he consistently showed throughout camp, while Evan inspired the group through his courage and willingness to embrace every challenge.

Thank You, Chairo Christian School!

On behalf of Coach Cal and the entire Summit team, thank you for bringing such incredible energy, courage, and positivity to camp. We loved watching you challenge yourselves, support your teammates, and create so many unforgettable moments together.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for this amazing group of students — and remember… don’t go home wondering “What If.” 💚
