Rosanna Golf Links Primary School

From the 29th of April to the 1st of May, the Year 5 students and teachers from Rosanna Golf Links Primary School joined us at The Summit Adventure Park for three unforgettable days packed with challenge, teamwork, resilience, and plenty of fun. From the moment they arrived, the energy was high as students prepared to take on exciting activities, push outside their comfort zones, and create memories that will last long after camp ended.

Supporting the students throughout the experience were coaches Cal, Tim, Liv, Summer, Jeff, Ant, Simon, and Sam, who helped create an encouraging, positive, and action-packed environment across every part of camp.

The Five Keys

Day One – Activities & Tribe Names

Day One focused on introducing students to The Summit’s Five Keys and helping everyone understand the mindset needed to get the most out of camp. Students were also introduced to the Target, Stretch, and Super Stretch goal-setting strategy, encouraging them to challenge themselves and celebrate every personal win along the way.

Throughout camp, students rotated through an epic lineup of activities including:

  • Giant Swing
  • Orienteering
  • Tash’s Ladder
  • Cave
  • High Wire
  • Bush Challenge

Each activity challenged students to communicate, support one another, and step outside their comfort zones in new and exciting ways.

The tribes quickly came together, creating their team identities and building awesome team spirit throughout camp. The tribe names were:

  • The Goats
  • Flying Bacon
  • Amazing Tough Knuckles
  • The Wallabys
  • The Pears
  • Big Foot

From climbing high above the ground to navigating tricky team challenges, the students embraced every opportunity with courage and enthusiasm.

Day Two – Intention, Tug of War & Monster Madness

The following morning began with students setting a personal intention for the day ahead—thinking about what they wanted to achieve and how they wanted to show up for themselves and their teammates.

After diving into three huge activity rotations, the energy stayed high after lunch with multiple rounds of Tug of War, bringing out plenty of competitive spirit and teamwork across the tribes.

Then it was time for one of the biggest highlights of camp…

The Monster Course

Students launched into the muddy Monster Course, tackling obstacles, teamwork challenges, and two massive laps of the course. The second lap tested resilience, determination, and grit, pushing teams to dig deep and improve their times together.

Mud-covered and exhausted by the finish line, the students showed incredible persistence and support for one another, making the Monster Course one of the most memorable moments of the entire camp experience.

Final Day – Gratitude, Mythical Creatures & Tank Time

On the final morning, students took part in a gratitude reflection session, thinking about the people, opportunities, and moments they appreciated most throughout camp.

After one final activity rotation, the groups came together for a fun and competitive game of Mythical Creatures, where teams worked together to collect creatures and earn as many points as possible for their tribe. The teamwork and excitement made for an awesome final challenge.

As camp wrapped up, results were announced and the Values Winners celebrated for the incredible attitude, courage, teamwork, and positivity they had shown throughout the three days.
