Kilvington Grammar

On a crisp April morning, the Year 11 students and teachers from Kilvington Grammar arrived at The Summit ready to embrace three days of challenge, growth, and connection. From the moment they stepped off the buses, there was an undeniable energy in the air—one built on curiosity, courage, and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones.

The Five Keys

At the core of every Summit experience are the Five Keys—guiding students to get the most out of every moment:

Day One – Activities & Tribe Names

With the tone set and goals locked in, students launched straight into their first initiatives and activity rotations. Using the Target, Stretch, and Super Stretch framework, they began thinking intentionally about how they wanted to show up across camp.

Across the program, students took on a huge range of Summit challenges, including:

  • Jump Free
  • Snowy River Challenge
  • Inflatable City
  • Sky Bridge
  • Rock Wall
  • Flying Fox

From the very first rotations, it was clear—this group was ready to play all in. Teams quickly formed strong connections, supporting each other through nerves, celebrating wins, and building confidence with every step forward.

Day Two – Stepping Up

Day Two was all about intention, resilience, and pushing limits. Students stepped into each activity with purpose, backing themselves and their teams as they tackled challenges that pushed them beyond what they thought possible.

Throughout the day, the growth was undeniable—whether it was conquering fears on the high elements or leaning into teamwork during ground-based challenges, every student found moments to stretch themselves.

The Monster Course

One of the biggest highlights of camp came during the afternoon—the legendary Monster Course.

At first, it seemed like a race against other teams… but the real challenge quickly revealed itself. This wasn’t about beating others—it was about beating your own first lap.

With that shift in mindset, everything changed.

Students dug deep, pushing through mud, fatigue, and self-doubt to improve their second lap times. The determination, encouragement, and energy across the course was next level—a true reflection of what happens when people commit to growth.

Final Day – Gratitude & Growth

As the final morning rolled around, the group slowed things down for a powerful gratitude reflection. Students were encouraged to think about the people and opportunities in their lives, finishing camp with a strong sense of appreciation and perspective.

With a final push of activities down in the park, the group came together one last time to celebrate everything they had achieved.

Tribe Reflections & Tank Time

To wrap up camp, students recognised those who had truly embodied The Five Keys—leaders, supporters, and individuals who made a lasting impact on their group.

  • Walkie Talkies – Chrysanthi
