Langwarrin Park Primary School 2026

On Wednesday the 20th of May 2026, the Grade 6 students and teachers from Langwarrin Park Primary School rolled through The Summit gates full of excitement and eager to begin their adventure. After settling into their accommodations, the group gathered in the Lodge where Coach Timmay introduced camp, the coaching crew, and The Summit’s secret recipe for the best camp ever — the Five Keys.

The Five Keys

After the introductions, students made their way down to the Stage where Timmay and Ebony delivered a Helmet and Harness safety brief before Coach Ant introduced the powerful Target, Stretch, and Super Stretch goal-setting strategy — encouraging students to push past what they thought was possible.

Day One – Activities & Tribe Names

The group kicked things off with a fun game of “Keeping Up” using a giant yoga ball before launching into their first activity rotation.

Activities across camp included:

  • Abseiling
  • Flying Fox
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Rock Wall
  • Bag Blitz
  • Laser Skirmish

After their first rotation, students headed back to the Lodge for afternoon tea before diving into Tribe Identity time, where each team created their tribe flags, values, and team spirit.

The tribe names were nothing short of iconic:

  • Rubber Duckies
  • Crunchy Mango Whales
  • Triceratops Gang
  • Tango Mango
  • Gnarly Daredevils
  • George’s Crispy Bacon

Students were also introduced to one of The Summit’s favourite traditions — GMICs (Great Moments In Camp), where students and coaches celebrate the awesome moments, breakthroughs, and funny memories made throughout camp.

After a huge first day, everyone settled in for dinner, free time, and some well-earned rest before another massive day ahead.

Day Two – Intentions, Strategy & Monster Madness

Day Two began with a powerful session around setting a Morning Intention and learning the importance of focusing on what we can control — our attitude, effort, and mindset. Students then shared their own intentions for the day before heading down into the park for a warm-up game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors Evaluation.”

The group launched into three huge activity rotations, braving the cold weather with incredible energy and resilience. No matter the conditions, students continued smashing goals, backing each other, and having fun along the way.

After lunch, the competition heated up during the Tribe Challenge — “Strategy Games” — where coaches dressed up and teams raced around collecting clues and completing challenges together.

Then came the event everyone had been waiting for…

The Monster Course

Following the safety briefing, the countdown began and teams launched into The Summit’s legendary Monster Course. Students battled through mud, obstacles, teamwork challenges, and exhaustion as they completed an epic first lap together.

But the real challenge came when they discovered the winning team wouldn’t be the fastest team — it would be the team who improved the most on their second lap!

Armed with their Target, Stretch, and Super Stretch goals, every tribe dug deep and gave everything they had on lap two. The course became a true test of resilience, teamwork, encouragement, and refusing to give up.

Mud-covered, exhausted, and proud, the students wrapped up the evening with showers, dinner, and an evening activity before heading off for a well-earned sleep.

Final Day – Gratitude, Reflections & Tank Time

As the final morning arrived, the group gathered together to read out some memorable GMICs before Coach Ant led a gratitude session, encouraging students to reflect on the people and moments they were most thankful for.

After a huge game of Jockeys to warm everyone up, students tackled their final activity rotations and made the most of their last few hours at camp.

As camp drew to a close, each tribe voted for one student who best embodied The Summit’s Five Keys through their courage, teamwork, positivity, and willingness to play all in. These legends were rewarded with an unforgettable hot lap in The Summit’s very own Army Tank while their peers cheered them on.
