We recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the incredible students and staff from Preston High School to The Summit, and from the moment the buses rolled through the gates, the energy was electric. This group arrived ready to challenge themselves, lift each other up, and squeeze every drop out of their Summit experience. With the support of an outstanding coaching crew — Cal, Sam, Spinks, Simon, Lucy, Mim, Christopher, Canadian Chris, Maddi, Liv, Stevie, Will and Monty — it was clear we were in for something special.
Right from the very first morning, the focus was on intentions — setting the tone for growth, courage, and connection. That mindset became the heartbeat of the camp, shaping every activity, every challenge, and every breakthrough moment that followed.
The Five Keys
- Have Fun
- Play All In
- Make Lots of Mistakes
- Get Uncomfortable
- Don’t Go Home Wondering ‘What If’
These five simple but powerful principles guided the entire journey — and Preston High School absolutely lived them out.

Day One – Setting the Standard
Day One was all about intention and momentum. After settling in, students began stepping outside their comfort zones straight away. Whether it was conquering vertical heights or navigating muddy team courses, the group approached every challenge with an open mindset.
You could already see it — the courage building, the trust forming, and the quiet confidence beginning to grow.
Day Two – Grit, Growth & The Mud Run
Day Two brought the heat — and the mud.
One of the standout highlights of the entire camp was undoubtedly the Mud Run. And not just once… but twice.
When students discovered they’d be completing a second lap, the challenge shifted from physical to mental. Fatigue kicked in. Legs were heavy. But something powerful happened — they encouraged one another, laughed through the exhaustion, and kept moving forward.
The Mud Run became more than an obstacle course. It became a lesson in perseverance, resilience, and refusing to quit when things got uncomfortable.
This was “Get Uncomfortable” in action.
This was “Don’t Go Home Wondering What If.”
The Monster Course
Mud, obstacles, teamwork and mindset — the Monster Course delivered it all.
Teams pushed through cargo nets, sled pulls, mud pits and more, before backing it up again for a second lap. The real victory wasn’t about being the fastest — it was about improvement, resilience, and giving everything they had left in the tank.
And they absolutely did.
Final Day – Gratitude & Reflection
As the final morning rolled around, the energy shifted to reflection and gratitude. Students were encouraged to think about:
- What they achieved
- What they learned
- Who supported them
- What they were grateful for
By the end of camp, it was clear — this group had grown. Confidence was stronger. Connections were deeper. Resilience had levelled up.
