On a stunning Wednesday afternoon, 17th September 2025, the Year 5s of Boroondara Park Primary School arrived at The Summit, full of excitement and ready for adventure! After checking into their accommodation, the crew gathered in the Lodge, where Coach Spinks and the team introduced the camp, the coaches, and of course, the recipe for the best camp ever, The Five Keys.

Activities & Tribe Names
Straight after intros and a fun game of 50 Up, Chris and Mim gave a harness and helmet demo, while Lucy shared the Target, Stretch, Super Stretch goal-setting strategy. From there, the students jumped into activities that stretched their bravery and teamwork, including Tash’s Ladder, Snowy River Challenge, Cave, and Rockwall .
Later rotations added even more variety with Giant Swing, Highwire, Bag Blitz, and Inflatables .

Day One — A Flying Start
Campers kicked things off with initiatives, activities, and their first taste of teamwork challenges. The evening introduced them to GMICs (Great Moments in Camp) , a tradition of writing down and sharing the awesome things noticed in each other. Energy and encouragement filled the Lodge!
Day Two — Playing All In
Spinks led a Morning Intention talk about focusing on what we can control and choosing how we show up. After an energising game of CRANE, Tiger, Egg, students smashed through three rotations of activities, building courage and resilience.
The afternoon brought the legendary Monster Course , mud, grit, and total teamwork! Campers dug deep to complete two laps, with victory measured by their improvement time. Every tribe improved by 8 minutes or more, epic effort!
Final Day — Gratitude & Celebration
The last morning saw heartfelt GMICs and a colourful Gratitude Session with sticky notes, sharing who and what students were thankful for. After two final rotations (so no one went home wondering “What If”), the group wrapped up with a fun game of Pirates, led by Spinks.
Before leaving, each tribe voted for a peer who best embodied The Five Keys throughout camp. These legends were honoured with The Summit’s Survivor Medals.
