On the 25th of August 2025, the Year 6 students of Christway College Wyndham arrived at The Summit, ready for two days of adventure, teamwork, and courage. From the moment they stepped off the bus, their energy and enthusiasm promised an unforgettable camp ahead!

    The Five Keys

    1. Have Fun
    2. Play All In
    3. Make Lots of Mistakes
    4. Get Uncomfortable
    5. Don’t Go Home Wondering ‘What If’

    Day One — Stepping Up

After settling into their accommodations, the group gathered in the Lodge where Coach Spinks and the coaching team introduced The Summit’s Five Keys. They also learned about the Target, Stretch, Super Stretch goal-setting strategy, helping students aim high and break through challenges.

The afternoon kicked off with a team initiative puzzle that tested problem-solving and communication, followed by the first two rotations:

    • Flying Fox
    • Bush Challenge
    • Abseil

Then came the second lot of rotations:

    • Bag Blitz
    • Rockwall
    • Inflatables

The day wrapped up with the camp tradition of GMICs (Great Moments in Camp), where students wrote down and celebrated their highlights from the day.

Day Two — Intentions & Monster Energy

The morning started with a session on setting intentions, choosing how to show up for themselves and their team. A fun game of Hucklebuck got everyone moving before diving into three more activity rotations.

After lunch, the group warmed up with some line dancing before taking on the legendary Monster Course! Mud, obstacles, and teamwork pushed everyone to their limits. And just when they thought it was over… surprise! A second lap. Every team dug deep and improved their times by 13 minutes or more, a huge achievement in resilience and determination.

Final Day — Gratitude & Goodbyes

The last morning began with a gratitude session, encouraging students to reflect on the people and experiences they were thankful for. A fun game of Pirates followed before the final two activity rotations.

To close camp, each tribe voted for someone who best embodied the Five Keys throughout camp. These Values Winners earned themselves a ride in The Summit’s WWII army tank, a thrilling finale to an epic camp.
