Cold, wet weather couldn’t dampen the buzz when the Year 3 buses from Elsternwick Primary School rolled through The Summit gates on Wednesday morning. The moment our new campers stepped off the bus, the energy was sky-high, and our coaching team could already tell we were in for an epic week.
After a big hello in the Stadium, coaches introduced themselves and shared The Summit’s 5 Keys:

Day 1 , First Adventures & Tribes
We played a couple of warm-up games, learned how to clip into harnesses, and discovered the Target → Stretch → Super Stretch goal ladder, then it was off to the first activity rotation:

- Cave & Bush Challenge
- Rock Wall
During a creative break, tribes were formed and they each designed flags and chants, revealing some big imaginations:

Day Two: Intentions, Magical Creatures & The Monster Course
After staying up far too late, Thursday kicked off with a hilarious Kid President intentions video. Spirits reset, students powered through another round of rotations before hamburgers for lunch.
Afternoon quest: Magical Creatures , helping “Gumbuya World” recapture costumed wanderers. Tash’s Tremendous Twelve led the rescue mission and claimed victory.
Next came the muddy, splash-tastic Monster Course: tyres, charades, cargo nets, holey buckets, the giant ball pit, and a sneaky second lap to measure pure improvement. Every team smashed their first-lap time, with Tash’s Tremendous Twelve topping the leaderboard again!
Day Three: Gratitude, Final Rotations & Tank Rides
Friday morning opened with another dose of Kid President wisdom, this time on gratitude. After reflecting on who and what we appreciate, campers finished their last rotations and then voted for a Values Winner: one teammate who lived the 5 Keys all camp long.
We gathered at the BBQ Shelter for thank-yous, results, and one unforgettable reward: our WW2 Army Tank ride for the Values Winners, cheered on by the whole year level!
