On the 27th of August, the Year 8 students from Mirboo North Secondary College rolled into The Summit, ready for three days of courage, fun, and unforgettable memories. With energy high and spirits buzzing, the adventure began the moment they stepped through the gates.

Day One — Getting Started
After checking into their accommodations, the students met their coaches at the Stadium where they were introduced to The Summit’s Five Keys and the Target, Stretch, Super Stretch goal-setting strategy.
The afternoon kicked off with an initiative challenge before the first activity rotations began:
- Highwire with Sam
- Flying Fox with Christopher
- Giant Swing with Spinks
Two rotations later, the day closed with GMICs (Great Moments in Camp), a chance to celebrate the awesome moments and efforts of Day One.
Day Two — Intentions & Monster Energy
Day Two started strong with a session on setting intentions led by Sam, followed by a lively game of Krane Tiger Egg.
The group rotated through more epic activities:
- Bag Blitz
- Abseil
- Laser Skirmish
After lunch (chimkin tender wraps, yum!), it was time for even more challenges:
- Snake & Nails
- Jump Free
- Cave
Then came the big one, the legendary Monster Course. Ten obstacles of mud, grit, and determination tested teamwork to the max. Just as they crossed the finish line, the twist came, a second lap! The challenge wasn’t about being the fastest, but about improving their time, proving resilience and grit.
Final Day — Gratitude & Reflections
On the last morning, Spinks led a gratitude session, sharing GMICs and encouraging everyone to reflect on their camp journey. A round of Jockeys kept spirits high before the final two rotations and one last chance to play all in.
Before boarding the buses home, students gathered for Rock, Stick, and Leaf reflections (something that rocked about camp, something that will stick with them, and something they would leaf behind). They also voted for their Values Winners, who embodied the Five Keys throughout camp. These legends were rewarded with an unforgettable tank ride in The Summit’s WWII army tank.
